History of House of Hope

In 1998, the Lord gave Ellie Round, Executive Director of House of Hope, a vision to heal this generation through love and prayer. Work began with homeless youth in the area in 1999 through an outpatient prayer center. House of Hope expanded in 2001 to a resident facility, working with young adults between the ages of 13 and 21 and families to bring healing and restoration. The residential facility worked with only females until 2004, when males were added to the facility.

House of Hope is located in northwest Michigan on a beautiful 40-acre farm estate, surrounded by woods and farmland. Nearby Lake Michigan and many other area lakes make this truly a resting place. The surroundings create a place of refuge, a safe place for broken lives to be healed and restored.

The ministry is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is licensed as a boarding school by the Michigan Department of Education.
